Vruntlike Tohopesate
The "Vruntlike tohopesate" is as a network of actors and groups of North German late medieval everyday life and craft. The name refers to the covenants of the 2nd Half of the 15th Century, almost all cities of the north, northeast and west of the ma-Holy Roman Empire included. Since the vast majority of the North German individual performers and groups as part of their presentation time, the late Middle Ages - 14 and 15 Century - have chosen and represented mainly urban life, was close to the idea of the old alliances "to revive again," from 1384, 1407, 1476 and 1482nd The cities were taken alliances geographically so far that all groups and individual performers from Schleswig to Cologne and from Holland to the Baltic States may feel it addressed. How about the 14th and 15 Century came to this far-reaching temporary alliance system, what it meant and what cities were involved is described below. The Tohopesaten were a typical North German form of the medieval city leagues. The Middle Low German Tohopesate consists tohope = "Together" and the sate = comparison, contract, meaning "alliance". Again and again we find the formulation tohopesate vruntlike. With the addition vruntlike / fruntlike it literally means "friendly alliance", mutatis mutandis, as
Understanding of "good understanding".
